This is an update of our work in Capas
Our new work in Capas continues with 3 home Bible studies per week. Two of those who attend these home Bible study classes are Luisa Simbulan and Melchor Aparayan.

Luisa and Melchor have shown great appreciation of the lessons. This has encouraged us too so we keep on teaching them, visiting their homes to encourage them to follow Jesus. We have scheduled another class with them this coming Saturday.

Update of the work in Tarlac City
Our work in Tarlac City continues with 6 more Home Bible Study classes. These classes have resulted to baptisms. As of July 29, 2007 we have baptized six souls. They are Noel Malicdem, Elsie Simbulan, Silvino Cachero, Danilo G. Martinez, Jade Policarpio and Dennis Bautista. Noel Malicdem is a civil engineer. Silvino Cachero is a retired army officer.

Jay-Jay Policarpio, the brother of Jade, is also getting interested. There are two others who are attending our studies and have kept up their interests in the lessons we taught.

Training the Disciples to serve
I have been training the members on the “hows”: How to lead prayers and how to lead songs. Others are trained to read the Scriptures and to serve at the Lord’s table.

Training them takes a lot of time and effort but patience brings forth a lot of good fruits in favor of the growth of the local church in Tarlac City.

Remains of Sister Gloria to be Buried Tomorrow

October 29, 2007 · Leave a Comment

We members of Tarlac City church are busy with so many things today. We are helping the family of Sister Gloria to facilitate the burial of her remains. Sister Gloria’s burial will be on Tuesday, tomorrow afternoon.

Sister Gloria had five children. Two of them are members of the Lord’s church, one is affiliated with the “Iglesia ni Cristo,” while two have remained Roman Catholics. So, we are making negotiations with all her children, and the religious feelings and opinions of each one have to be taken into consideration. We are still requesting the prayers of Christians. Help us pray to God that peace and understanding may prevail among members of her family.
